If you have sent your oven/stove/range control board to UpFix and you are still having issue. Here are some troubleshooting videos that could be helpful.

If you have any questions, comment here bellow. Please describe your issue and leave as much detail as possible with photos.

1. Check your Oven Temperature Sensor

2. Oven Heating Element Continuity Test

This is not a common fault, but heating elements do go out. This will cause ovens to heat too hot or not heat at all.

Put mine back together and it appeared to work (it used to just fault as soon as I powered up) but then I noticed the heating element coming on even if I didn't turn the oven on - no way to get it to stop - and then the oven got an error code again

Thank you for contacting us.

Can you be little more detailed.  Year and model,  and what code are you getting?

The heating components may become  ungrounded, resulting hazardous situation. Check all wiring for lose or bad connections .   It's also possible that the sensor probe  is faulty, and it can be examined for resistance. At normal temperature, the sensor probe should read 1100 ohms of resistance. If these are all excellent, the main control is the most likely is faulty.

It's a Bosch HBL 5035 A UC. The error code is F 03. I just had the control panel fixed, but it did not correct the issue and appears to have introduced a new issue wherein the heating element turns on automatically and doesn't turn off?

When an F3 error code flashes, it generally means that the oven sensor has encountered an error and needs to be replaced. According to Repair Clinic, the error means that a circuit has been exposed or broken.

Hey team, thank you so much for repairing my control board. I got it back yesterday, installed it and it worked right away......but for only 2 minutes.  The control board lit up and I was able to set the clock, start the oven and turn it back off.  Then 2 minutes later all the lights went out again on the control board and it's back to the way it was before - with buttons that beep when pressed but no digital display.  Its a Whirlpool double wall oven and the model # is RBD307PVS00. After resetting the breaker a few times it still doesn't work. But it does having a whirring sound for 10 seconds or so like it's trying to do something. Do you guys have a local service I could use or do you have something else I could try to get it working?   Thanks so much!  Darold

I received my oven control board after your repairs, and I see there are some new components, thank you, but now the two most important buttons -- Start and Clear/Off -- don't work.

They worked when I sent the board to you.  All of the buttons on the panel worked before.

It is part WB27K5334, and the numbers on the tag you attached to my board is 797222H9. On the work order printout it says:

Order: 797222H

Web: 100369630

The only connection between the panel with the buttons and the control board is the ribbon cable. It goes from the panel to the J1 connector on the board. Since all the buttons worked when I sent the board in, I'm thinking some of the solder joints might be bad on the J1 connector.  It's either that or the ribbon cable has somehow failed. However, I carefully disconnected everything. (I used to work in an electronics manufacturing plant, so I am familiar)

What am I supposed to do? Do I need to send back the oven control board along with the entire panel that has the buttons and ribbon cable? My oven now works even less than when I sent in my board, so will you repair it for free to get my Start and Clear/Off buttons working again, please?

Please help me,

Dan

Thank you for reaching out.  Can you make sure the locking bar is connected and secured? You can always clean a ribbon cable with alcohol and a cotton swap. Natural dirt and debris accumulate. Below the locking bar. Either way, I don't think it is the board. It was operational while it was here.

You can always send it back for another look

awesome turnaround and service on my 2007 Whirlpool double oven control board.  I’m pretty good with basic electrics and my experience with ribbon cables did not include how the connector is not part of the cable.  I kept getting errors on power up and my touch keys did not work. I finally read several items on how to properly reconnect a ribbon cable and voila - all good! My suggestion is include a primer on how the ribbon cable should be reattached in that QR code reference you provided.

Amazing experience working with Up Fix and my oven works again! Thank-you.
