Bake/Broil Element
When the heating element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the heating element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the heating element for holes or blisters. To determine if the bake element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity it should measure 10-75 Ohms . If the bake element does not have continuity, replace it.
Thermal Fuse
If the oven gets too hot, the thermal fuse will engage and send a signal to turn off power to the oven. If the thermal fuse has blown, the oven will not heat. To determine if the thermal fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, then this will need to be replaced.
Loose, Burnt or dirty Wire Connection
Check the wiring harness, These wires commonly burn out near the heat source. Inspect the wires leading to the element. Ensure they are clean, this can be done with water and vinegar. If a wire is burned out, it will often be visibly burnt. Sometimes a good cleaning of components can make a difference.
Thermistor/Temp sensor
A failing oven sensor can send misleading readings to the control causing it to behave incorrectly, resulting inaccurate cooking temperatures or fault codes on the display. A failed oven sensor is most often responsible for an F3 or F4 error message on the control display. In most cases the sensor is at fault.
Oven Control Board
The oven control board has relays that send voltage to the bake and broil circuits according to the users settings and sensor input. first test all of the heating components. If you confirmed that all of the heating components are working, replace the oven control board.
Relay Board
The relay board has several relays which control the electrical current\ signal to the heating element. If one or more of the relays and capacitors on the relay board look burnt or has a buldged, it has failed, the oven won’t heat. If the relay board is defective, replace it.
Door lock mechanism/Switch
Depending on your stove\oven you may have a door lock mechanism. This is known to cause faults in units and give false readings as to the actual issue. Check the wiring and the mechanism its self. If you detect an issue then replace it.
Temp doesn't change by pressing keypad. I'm getting a F2 code.
the F2 error code indicates that the oven temperature is too high. This doesn't necessarily mean that the temperature inside the oven really is too high. If the temperature doesn't seem to change when pressing on the keypad and you have confirmed that the other components are working properly then replace the keypad.
