2008 Dodge Charger Instrument Cluster Repair.

Nelson

The page claims that you shouldn't fix fuel gauge issues, but what if the issue actually lies with the instrument cluster? I changed the pump/Sending unit, tested the circuit for continuity, and everything appeared to be in order. By lightly pushing the connector for the fuel pump circuit at the rear of the instrument cluster, I can make the issue appear and disappear. Is it typical for the connector's pins to be damaged? They don't have any corrosion, and the pin tension seems to be normal. Can you fix the internal issue with the fuel gauge, or do I need to search elsewhere for a separate firm specifically?

Thank you for reaching out. This does look like something that we service. Below I have provided a link that can get you started on the ordering process. The link will let you know what issue will be covered under the repair. 'Gauges Not Working' falls under your fuel gauge issue. We'll address the pins as part of the repair. If you still have issues afterward then it's most likely the connector.

Any issues outside of the advertised will not be addressed. A full diagnostic check should first be performed to eliminate all other possible causes for your symptoms, even if the symptoms match those specified on the common fault description. If you are not sure that this part is the cause of the fault then we recommend that you do not go ahead with this purchase and instead seek further professional advice and diagnosis. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to working with you.
