06 Cadillac STS around two weeks ago an ABS dash light on. The dealer found that the problem was caused by a malfunctioning electronic brake control module and replaced it. The technicians are now unable to interact with the new module, and the vehicle will not start. They said it was unintentionally engaging the front brakes while attempting to program. The shop foreman blames my bolt-ons/tune, alleging that something in the PCM is interfering with communication with other modules.
It is not uncommon to receive a factory new module that would not program, but they are sure that the part is in fine working order. I recommended reinstalling the old EBCM and seeing if they could program with it, but they want to charge a** for work. Can you help?
