| 2010 Mazda 3 automatic transmission issues | 4 Relevance | 3 years ago | RUSTY KIRKLAND | TCM Transmission Control Module | |
| I’m having issues with my 2010 mazda 3 automatic transmission as of yesterday. It has never given me issues before now, but as of yesterday after about 30 minutes of driving the transmission would get to 3rd gear and then just start revving the RPMs really high. No check engine lights have ever came on and at the time no AT light. I woke up the next morning to drive the car and surprisingly it worked flawlessly for about another 30 minutes and then done the same thing. Still no lights though. I checked the fluid level and it seemed a little low, so I added a ... | |||||
| 06 Mazda AT light on code U0101 | 4 Relevance | 4 years ago | Maksim | TCM Transmission Control Module | |
| My 06 mazda stays in 3rd gear “limp mode” most of the time. When I drive itto work it starts off with the check engine light on and the AT light on.Sometimes after about 20+ miles it will snap out of it and start shiftingcorrectly, but most of the time it stays in limp mode. The Check Engine light is on, the AT light is on. I’ve got a DTCcode U0101, it hits hard when I put it in reverse. Stays in 3rd gear. | |||||

| Rebuilt TCM, still not working? | 3 Relevance | 4 years ago | ETinLV | TCM Transmission Control Module | |
| Hello!I received a remanufactured TCM from Upfix for an 08 mazda 3. After installing, I am getting a different error code and the transmission is stuck in limp mode. This is not the same problem I had before. I have done everything I can think of, and I believe the remanufactured TCM may be bad. Here is the long version:Originally the car would intermittently throw code p0791 and p0720 and unexpectedly downshift, exclusively on hot days. All three sensors were changed, transmission fluid and filter replaced mutiple times. But the problem persisted. Which le ... | |||||
| TCM Removal/Replacement 2010 Mazda 3 | 3 Relevance | 4 years ago | Ben DiCrasto | TCM Transmission Control Module | |
| My 2010 mazda 3 was giving me a hard kick when shifting gears. Would do the same when putting in reverse from the parked position. AT and engine light were coming on upon feeling the car jerk. TCM Removal - Remove battery box and battery (3-6 bolts). May need to clip plastic tie holding cords. - TCM is beneath the battery box toward the back. Remove three bolts holding TCM down. TCM Replacement - It is recommended that when you replace with the new TCM to mount it toward the drivers seat where the break lines are (zip-ties, etc.) - Reinsert battery box ... | |||||

| Mazda Miata 1995-1997 ECU - Troubleshooting Guide | 0 Relevance | 2 months ago | Ernest | ECU Engine Computer Unit | |
| (Use this only if you’re still having issues after our ECU service.) Step 1 – Confirm ECU is powering up Battery must be fully charged (12.4–12.7V KOEO). Check all ECU/ENGINE/IGN fuses in under-hood and interior boxes. Turn key ON and listen/feel for main relay and fuel-pump relay clicking. If relays don’t click, recheck ignition switch power feed and grounds. Step 2 – If you still have U0100 / P0600 (no communication) Verify scan tool is set to the correct year/engine and OBD connector is fully seated. Check continuity from OBD-II pin 7 (K-line) to the ECU diagnostics pin. Make sure no aftermarket alarm/remote-start is spliced into the ECU or OBD wiring. Repair any damaged wiring, corroded connectors, or added devices and retest. Step 3 – If the engine cranks but will not start Check for RPM signal on your scan tool while cranking; if 0, inspect crank/cam sensors and wiring. Confirm you have spark at the plugs and injector pulse with a noid light or test light. If no spark and no injector pulse but ECU powers up, focus on crank sensor, igniter/coil wiring, and engine grounds. Step 4 – If it starts but runs poorly / stalls or shows P0601–P0605 / P1600 again Clear all codes, drive or idle the car until the fault returns, then re-scan. Inspect all ECU grounds to the engine and chassis; clean and tighten if any are rusty or loose. Check for low system voltage while running (alternator or main ground issues can cause “internal ECU” codes). Verify no other modules or add-ons are sharing ECU power/ground in a way that could pull voltage down. Step 5 – When to look beyond the ECU If powers/grounds, fuses, relays, sensors, and wiring all test good, remaining issues are likely in vehicle wiring, sensors, ignition components, or fuel system rather than the ECU. At this point we recommend a full in-vehicle diagnosis with a professional technician who can scope signals and load-test circuits. | |||||
