Error code "CO" appears on the LCD on my refrigerator door. The refrigerator and freezer continue to function, however the touchpad's water and ice buttons do not. Does my main control board need to be replaced?

Yes you are correct, it is a faulty control board.
Error code "CO" is a communication error between the main control and the display
