Kenmore front load washer board issue

Jeshua

I have an older Kenmore front load washer that stops after the fill on rinse cycle on all 3 deferent cycles delicate-eco wash
I think it’s the logic board because the timer doesn’t get current when this happens but does on all other cycles fill Wash rinse only on 2nd rinse it stops and timer needs to be advanced manually a tiny bit
Does this sound like a familiar failure on this part

If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective.  The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Check the following. This can help narrow down the issue.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly

The door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Water Inlet Valve

If the washer stops mid-cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water in the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.

Main Control Board

If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.

A reset should assist. If everything in the appliance is working then I would send the board in to rule that out.

20 years is a long time. That's a lot of mouths that were fed. We're here if you choose to send in the board.

Well after spending several hours I’m thinking after 20 years service it’s probably time to retire it and get a new one
No telling what going to crap out next
Thanks
