Our dryer switches off and will start up again if you turn on the relay. It will sometimes run for a few cycles and then stop, and other times it may only run for a moment. Is it likely that I'll have to rebuild the entire board because the relay has failed?

Sounds like you do have a bad relay and the unit restarts, sometimes running and sometimes stopping, the problem is most likely with the control board. We can rebuild faulty control board modules, here is the link: https://www.upfix.com/product-category/appliances/dryer/
