2008 ford OA Econoline 350 instrument cluster

2008 ford OA Econoline 350

The initial issue was that the gauges weren’t working correctly, and then a former employee took it apart to try to fix it ( probably just moved some wires around?) after that the security light would turn on and the van wouldn’t start. We did get it to eventually start by tapping on the .. the light turned off, van started and we drove it back to our shop.

Is this something your team would be able to fix?

If not, would you be able to program a new one to work in our van?

Thank you for reaching out. This does look like something that we service, depending on your issue.  Below I have provided a link that can get you started on the ordering process and a troubleshooting guide. Make sure your part looks the same. If not then our service will not take care of your issue.  The link will let you know what issue will be covered under the repair. Any issues outside of the advertised will not be addressed. We recommend checking other components before sending in the part.

A full diagnostic check should first be performed to eliminate all other possible causes for your symptoms, even if the symptoms match those specified on the common fault description. If you are not sure that this part is the cause of the fault then we recommend that you do not go ahead with this purchase and instead seek further professional advice and diagnosis.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to working with you.

If you have a new cluster and need the mileage programmed then that is something we should be able to do. We will take care of the background lighting. Things like diagnostic lights will be tested for function. We won't address the security light. We will simply make sure it lights up. Our repair should take care of most of the cluster. Below I have provided a guide that can help narrow down the issues. . Attached is a link that goes over what we cover for your year, make, and model. Let us know if this helps

If unable to fix this one, does your team have the supplies to program a new one using the old one? If so what is the cost?

In regards to the security light issue I described below, what category does that fall under? Loss of power? Faulty gauge?
