I had just recently purchased my 2007 Lincoln MKX from a friend of mine and the engine in throwing the code P0301 misfire cylinder 1. My friend had informed me that he has done everything to remedy the issues but replacing the PCM, coil packs, spark plugs etc.. mechanic said all the research he has done is saying that the PCM needs to be replaced. Is this something that can be repaired on the PCM? I didn't see the code on the list of codes that the website features.
Yes, that is a common issue on this vehicle. We recommend getting the PCM refurbished and replacing the spark plugs and coil packs.
