My old 2001 TOYOTA Rav is having transmission slippage issues. I did an Ecu repair many years and miles ago and not sure if it’s the same problem or if it’s even worth fixing. The car has 250k miles on it, what do you think
We do support the service for the 2001 Toyota Rav 4.
Glad to hear that but can you or one of your technicians advise if the ECU repair makes sense if it was already done once about 100k miles ago
What codes is the OBDII scan tool showing? I would first check the transmission fluid/filter. If the fluid is bright red and the filter is clean there could still be an issue with the ECU. Was it refurbished by us or another company?
I just ran a code check on the old Rav and no codes were read as the display indicated “red” One or more systems have a problem,
I will check the codes tomorrow. The ECU was refurbished about 10 years ago by a company in Puerto Rico
What scan tool do you have? It should pick up any transmission related codes especially if the Check Engine/AT lights are on.
