I own a 2005 BMW x5. The climate control activates when the engine is started and the fan is set to maximum speed; it remains at maximum speed even when I lower the fan speed; it sometimes comes down on its own; but when left on for more than a few minutes, it cannot be turned off even when the ignition is turned off; I was forced to unplug the battery otherwise it will not stop. I tested a friend's temperature control from a 2002 x5 and it had the same issue, only this one had a "Max" button instead of a "REST" button... everything else was identical and it worked in his car but not mine.
Has anybody else have similar issues?
