Both ABS and brake light on and remain so after code reset. No general fault codes. What are most common causes of this combination of codes?

The B1342 code indicates that the ABS module has detected an internal issue during a self-test, while the B1596 code may indicate an issue with the wiring, ABS module, or instrument panel cluster. The B1342 code may also be caused by aftermarket accessories like upgraded stereo systems, headlight conversion kits, or operating issues with the ABS module.
