RE: 2010 Mazda 3 TCM repair needed | 0 Relevance | 1 year ago | Serge - UpFix Team | TCM Transmission Control Module
If you send in your original then we will program the latest firmware and repair your TCM. I recommend the exchange program that way if our part doesn't work then we can repair yours. If our part works then you can send in your original as a core. If that doesn't work for you then we can do a regular repair on your original.

A technical query pertaining to TCM on a 2010 mazda 3.Car was taken in for repair. needed a TCM in the first place. Instead of replacing the TCM, the shop replaced the transmission. They've returned and asked for an extra $1600 to replace the TCM.Will extra calibration be required if I use your service and send the old one in if I'm installing it on a new transmission? The TCM is the only component left for the new transmission to function. Attachment : 2010 mazda 3 TCM repair needed.png

Thank you for reaching out. Sorry to hear about your TCM issues. Would you happen to have your original TCM? What codes are you getting? We are familiar with ACR and we typically, don't accept them as a core. We have a process that we go through to ensure were working with a suitable TCM to send out to someone like yourself. Below I've provided a guide for you to go through first. If you still have issues then I would say purchase an exchange with the expectation of paying full price without the core or a replacement TCM will need to be purchased elsewhere. Please check our battery cables and grounds first then, try the hard battery reset (guide attached) with both negative and positive terminals constantly touching for 30-40min and the battery removed. If you have dark or dirty transmission fluid I recommend replacing it with fresh fluid and a new filter. Check fuses, wiring, plugs, and pins. Make sure they are free from debris, dirt, grease/oil, and battery acid. Mount the TCM to the brake lines. The heat from the transmission and the engine is usually the main culprit for the initial failure. Check your speed sensor and your oil pressure switch to the transmission as well. Once you have completed the above steps, re-scan the car and let us know which codes came back. That'll help us know exactly what is causing the issues. Below I have both guides to assist. I highly recommend that you follow the guides step by step for the best results. Thank you.
2008 Mazda 3 s TCM repair | 0 Relevance | 1 year ago | jennifer b | TCM Transmission Control Module
My son purchased a repair of his TCM on his 2008 mazda 3 in august of last year from a competitor and it has been deemed voided for some reason by them. It has been confirmed that it isn’t working by codes and symptoms. Would you still accept this module as a core if we purchased one from you guys? I hear good things about your service and don’t want to deal with the other company again. Attached is the label on his TCM. Please let me know what you can do.

2011 mazda 3 2.0 Liters dtc U0101 is the vehicle I own. Lost contact with TCM. I need to know whether you can fix the TCM if I deliver by Monday and need to receive it back the same week. I also need to know how long it will take to receive a replacement TCM if I want to buy one. Additionally, please clarify the warranty. Thanks Attachment : 2011 mazda 3 TCM.jpg
Repaired tcm issues | 0 Relevance | 2 years ago | Jdhahn1004 | TCM Transmission Control Module
Hi, You guys repaired a tcm for me last week, for my 2008 mazda 3. I had a CEL light, AT light, and TCS light all come on, with multiple codes and very rough shifting into reverse and drive. After some research I decided sending the tcm to you guys for repair would be the best option. After receiving it back, I installed it and relocated it to the brake lines, as you recommend. With everything back together, I started the car and the CEL light and TCS light are now off, but the AT light remains on and the hard shifting problem remains. Before installing, ...

... to use an extension on your socket wrench as it's a bit tight to work on there. Once that is removed (or before is fine), you will want to lift the lift for the connectors in your battery compartment. These can be removed easily with a screwdriver being driven between the white latch and the holder, applying a slight twist to the screwdriver while lifting up on the white latch. Detach both connectors and put them to the side. To remove the battery holder, you may want to remove the front plastic plate of the holder. There are a handful of cables that m ...

... link for Help\Tips. 2, After your suggestion in post #2 "try the hard battery reset first (guide attached) with both negative and positive terminals constantly touching for 30-40min and the battery removed", the problem is still persisted since Dec 7, 2022. 3, I took the car to a mazda dealer & paid $179 + tax for diagnosis fee.
