Wrangler X 2007 TIPM Module is defective

Wrangler X 2007 My front running lights and taillight on the driver's side aren't working. It must be grounded someplace, I reasoned. unable to locate it anywhere. So I had them look at it when I had it at the dealership. They claimed that the TIPM Module was defective and had a dead wire. The only issue I have is this. They claim that a new one costs $577 plus $150 for programming and installation. Exists a method to avoid this? Is the TIPM my only choice, or can I wire across from the passenger side and get the lights to work? Thanks.
