The TIPM unit in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler is giving me major problems, and this has happened twice now. Both times, the TIPM unit has been found to be at fault. I had to spend more than $900 to fix the first round. The component cost more than $700, plus diagnostic fees and other expenses.
I've now scheduled another appointment with my neighborhood Jeep dealer. Since the silly thing is just a month old, I'm hoping that the TIPM is covered by some sort of parts warranty. However, knowing my luck, I have a strong feeling that won't be the case, and I'll have to fork up another $900 to fix the same problem. Looking for other options.
