She brought the 2012 Jeep Liberty to the dealer to have the remote start corrected, which I assumed would be the switch cheap and quick because it indicated hood ajar start aborted. However, after about 3 hours of tracing cables and avoiding the hood switch, they identified the TIPM as the problem. It will cost $1100 to repair it. only past the warranty. WTF!? Numerous articles concerning this issue and a lawsuit have been read by me. Zero recall? I had to rely on the vehicle while I was away, and it failed me. I have now owned four different Chrysler products. When I phoned the Jeep Warranty Division, they only said "sorry." Has anyone else seen this issue with the TIPM? What should one do?
