2009 Jeep Compass TIPM

So what part of/on the board of TIPM is most commonly at fault? My 2009 Jeep Compass Rallye 2.4L FWD (CVT) Auto, keeps giving me code for crankshaft position sensor. The symptoms are as follows (car randomly dies, goes into limp mode, traction control light, windows go down but not up) usually goes into limp mode when turning right on a smooth road. The crazy thing is, on rough or very very very rough dirt roads it’s fine (this car definitely has no business on the roads I take it on or what I do in it) lol. I have experience with repairing my ecu on a Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 and few others. So I’m not a complete noob. Any help or info is much appreciated! Thanx!!!

On the Mitsubishi 3000GT the primary issue is often leaky capacitors. On the Jeep Compass TIPM it's more or less water intrusion, failing internal relays, and logic board issues. We'd have to perform a bench test to see if the issues stated are caused by the TIPM or possibly something else in the vehicle. We'd be happy to assist. Should you have any further questions, reach out to our customer service team.
