Recently, the 2015 Jeep Wrangler's two low beams failed simultaneously. They occasionally turn on irregularly, so I know they're not dead. I've examined everything, from the multifunction switch to the headlamp wiring harness. I took it to the dealership, where they determined that it also had a TIPM, and now they want to charge me more than $800 since the headlights are not factory-installed (not covered under warranty). My plan is to replace my friend's original HL set with mine and take it back to the dealer, but I'm worried they will see several of my surrounding modifications and still say it is out of warranty. Has anybody encountered a similar issue? Any suggestions for a less expensive fix or do-it-yourself repair?
