For this removal I used a 10mm socket wrench(short works better for removing bolts holding tcm to transmission.) and a flat head screwdriver.
My first step was to remove the battery terminals using my 10mm socket wrench.
Then I removed the battery from the battery compartment.
The next step is to remove this battery compartment. It maybe be held down by some bolts. I have previously removed this compartment so I didn't have any bolts to remove here. These connectors are also holding the battery compartment. You can disconnect them and set the aside to free the battery compartment. After it is free you can wiggle the compartment out of there and finally get to the tcm.
This is what's under the battery compartment. The red arrow points to the TCM. The TCM is held down by 3 10mm bolts. A short socket works best for removing these.
After the bolts are removed there is a just a clip holding the TCM. Push down on the part I'm pressing on with my screwdriver and the push up the white bar. You can probably do this with just your hands but I used a flathead screwdriver.
That's it your tcm should be off and ready to be sent in for repair.
Very detailed removal instructions add great photos!
