can you flash a older 5 speed TCM to a 6 speed TCM?

If the TCM is original, depending on your year, make, and model it might be possible to re-flash it.If you replaced your 5-speed with a 6-speed transmission the internals of the TCM for a 6-speed might be physically different which means we'll only more know once we have more information about your vehicle and what's been done to it.
