The refrigerator temperatures are excessively high, and no amount of adjusting will bring them down to the appropriate temperatures. Would that be the control board if the compressor is in good working order? Is it conceivable that the compressor works OK until it reaches the desired temperature, but then has trouble turning back on when it shuts down and has to restart?

The compressor on the device will need to be replaced if it is functioning occasionally.
