Refrigerator issue

Erin H

The refrigerator chirps and it does it intermittently. When it does it, the Freezer and fridge temp creeps up but then goes back down when the chirping goes away. Are the capacitors bad in this thing? Can you confirm if you can repair the issue. Its been doing this for over a week or so. Thanks

The issue could be the thermistors. The control board would be the problem if the fan was accelerating up and down. If you do not know how to check this I recommend getting a professional to take a look to determine the issue. We can't guarantee our repair will fix the issue. Most of the time the issue is the control board but not always the case.  We do replace the capacitors and relays on the board as our repair. Below I have provided a link should you choose to send it in. Hope this helps.

It does seem to be electrical. Below I have provided a link that can get you started in the process.

when the chirping happens the lights blink so to me its a power reset issue. So the chirping happens when the board seems to be resetting. When it stops chirping then the temperature goes back to normal. It seems to be doing it every few days and does it for like hours or less and then goes back to normal. If the power appears to be resetting(only where the filter percent and two temperatures are listed) doesn't that mean its the control board? It's electrical not mechanical. The light in the fridge is ok when it chirps its just the LED numbers showing the information where this board is located in the refrigerator top side. Thanks
