Our fridge ice and water dispenser had stopped operating. When this happens, the color screen dims as well. It does come on randomly now , but just for a short time before stopping? On the back of the fridge, I believe there is a control board . Could this be the issue?

It's a good idea to look at the wiring harness at the bottom of the door to make sure there isn't any damaged or broken wiring. If all of this appears to be in order, the problem is most likely with the main control board. It appears that the control board is faulty. We do fix control boards that aren't working properly.
