the ice maker in the bin with ice is melting incidences and no other signs of defrosting concerns. Worked Fine for a week, then I opened the freezer to find that the ice had melted and produced a massive stalagmite. There was no sign of anything else melting in the freezer, and the temperature in the refrigerator section was perfect. The problem reappeared when I updated the defrost thermostat and the freezer temperature. Is this the primary board now? Are you sure you're on the correct track?

Based on the information you gave, it appears that the main control board in the appliance is defective and will need to be repaired. It sounds like the device is stuck in a defrost cycle before restarting. Here is the service link https://www.upfix.com/product-category/appliances/refrigerator/
