This is a GE refrigerator/freezer. When I open either side of the refrigerator french doors, the interior lights turn on, dim somewhat, and then flash off. When the door is closed, the outside door control panel displays the specified freezer and refrigerator temperatures. So far, both the refrigerator and the freezer seem to be retaining their cool. Is it possible to figure out what the problem is?

A defective control board would be the most likely reason for the lights dimming and unpredictable behavior. But we do fix faulty control board modules. Here is the service link https://www.upfix.com/product-category/appliances/refrigerator/
