It is a membrane switch that connects to a functional display control board. This switch is an outdated model whose larger plug's contacts have corroded. Would you be able to permanently replace the contacts on that plug? When plugged in, a conductive trace repair I tried to use just scraped away. This switch's Frigidaire component number is 242166905. The model number of the refrigerator from Frigidaire is FPHB2899LF8. Thanks

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we won't be able to correct those issues. the ribbon cables are fragile. We cant take care of basic power issues or certain functions. We can make an attempt however it may not work depending on how bad it is. These parts are not available to replace. Did it take some effort to remove the front panel?
