The refrigerator has ceased to chill. The fan is on, but the compressor really isn't. Is it an issue with the main board or the inverter? How am I supposed to know?

Check for 120 volts coming to the inverter board; if the inverter receives 120 volts, the inverter is the problem, not the mainboard. The mainboard is the most likely cause of failure if the inverter does not get 120 volts. And we do service bot of them. Here is a link https://www.upfix.com/product-category/appliances/refrigerator/
