I was told by the repairman that he could get the part but it's on backorder till who knows. I can use my stove top now, but if I remove this will I lose that ability? Thanks. Ron

Does your bake or broil function properly? What you can do is remove the board and test to see if you still have function over the stovetop. If you remove the board and neither the bake\broil nor stovetop works then that should answer your question. Below I have provided a link that can be used should you choose us for the repair.
