Maytag Oven / Range Control Board WP74006614

Rubia

I will take the board out and send it to you for repair. My question is, do you confirm that the board is faulty before you repair it? What if I get the board back and put it in the oven and it still does not work, would you be able to help me diagnose the problem?

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, we run a pretest on the unit to determine if the unit is repairable. Before you send it in please check all plugs, pins, and wiring. Make sure they are free from grease or debris. Have your thermal probe and thermistor check to ensure they are getting the right signal. Thermal probes are known to go bad over the years. We do have technical support that can assist if your part is not working after the repair. When placing your order online, make sure your description of the issues is detailed. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out. Thank you for your time and patience.

I have attached a photo that may assist. The thermal probe is in different locations based on the make and model. Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out. Thank you

Thermal Probe: This should measure between 1000 and 1200 ohms at room temperature. Heating Element: This should measure between 15 and 90 ohms at room temperature.

Wiring: Be sure that all the wires are still in good condition and none of the coats are melted or broken. This can happen over time with heat.

Thank you for your reply. I will proceed on disconnecting the board from the oven and ship it to you after I place in the repair order via ebay. One question, if you mind elaborating, you say " Have your thermal probe and thermistor check to ensure they are getting the right signal", can you help me identify these two items that you are talking about so that I could check them as you suggest?
Thank you again and I will proceed to sending you the board shortly after your reply.
