JennAir Electric Convection Double Wall Oven (Model JJW 3830 DS01) Serial Number D62015787.
It is throwing a F6E1 Code (Over Temp When Oven is Heating)(Upper Main Oven).
The repairman says that parts W10821712 (Appliance Manager) and W11232121 (Control Panel) need to be replaced.
Attached to this email, as requested, are pictures of the two boards and relevant pages from the Technical Manual for the oven. Page 7 is the Error Code (F6E1) which describes the resistance elements and tests for shorted relays. Page 12 is the schematic for the Appliance Manager (Part W10821712) and page 14 is the Oven Wiring Diagram.
Hopefully the pictures and these pages from the manual will help your technicians determine whether you can repair the two circuit boards.
Please let me know if you can make the necessary repairs and the cost to do so.
I appreciate your help with this matter.
Thank you for reaching out. Yes, we should be able to get rid of this fault.
There are three main reasons for this fault:
- Bad thermal probe (most likely)
- Bad element
- Bad relays.
It is most likely the relays in this oven if the tech checked the first two. Turnaround should be quick.
Thank you for providing us with the photos. The repair should take care of the issue. Typically the relay board is at fault. If after the repair you still have issues then, the issue could be elsewhere.
