GE Fault Codes for Range/Stove/Oven
Failure Code | Fault Code Description | Solution |
F0 | Stuck touch pad | Replace/repair control board or send your original to UpFix.com for repair. |
F1 | Stuck touch pad | Replace/repair control board or send your original to UpFix.com for repair. |
F2 | Control sees oven temp above 615F - 630F | If over temp condition occurred: Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace/repair oven control board. UpFix.com can repair your faulty control board.
If no over temp condition occurred: Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective. |
F3 | Open or shorted oven temperature sensor | Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor |
F4 | Open or shorted oven temperature sensor | Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor |
F5 | Loss of relay drive circuit | Replace/repair control board or send your original to UpFix.com for repair. |
F8 | Shorted meat probe | Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. |
F9 | Lock switch | Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. |
FC | Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wires between control and door lock switches on motorized lock circuits | Check wiring and test operation of switches. |
FD | Shorted meat probe | Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. Replace probe if all else checks out ok. |
FF | Loss of door motor safety switch | Replace/repair control board or send your original to UpFix.com for repair. |
FFF | Control error, failed EEPROM | Replace/repair control board or send your original to UpFix.com for repair.
An EEPROM check sum error or FFF code occurs when the values differ. If this happens, replace/repair the oven control board. |
