I noticed that there is a small tear (about 4 cm long) in the flexible transparent film that covers the digital display.
Water can get in here.
This tear existed when I sent it to you. I thought you might correct it as a matter of course.
What do you suggest? Can I order this part by itself and glue it on myself? What is it called?

Our apologies, Typically, don't take care of cosmetic issues. We simply repair the unit back to the manufacturers operating standard. Tampering with the face of the keypad can cause damage. The keypad is known for giving issues and is hard to find replacements. You may be able to apply a film over the face of the unit, similar to the film manufacturers put on new appliances\electronics to protect from scratches. I don't believe this clear film cover will be available for purchase. If it tends to come off easily then it may just be a protective film If it wasn't removed
