Mazda Tribute 2005 When I scanned it, it returned a P0353 Cyl 3 COP. We changed it, as well as all six plugs, but the automobile remained the same (it only runs on a handful of cylinders).
The PCM is fried, according to the Stealership. The Stealership has given me a quote of $1500 to fix the PCM.
Is it possible for me to install an aftermarket or used PCM myself? If that's the case, can I install it myself and then drive to the dealer to configure it?
Is it required that the dealer program it?
What year PCM should I look for in an aftermarket/used vehicle?
Any more tips, recommendations, or assistance would be greatly appreciated by everyone.
