I have a 2010 searay 260 with a mercruiser 5.7 Bravo DTS. Boat
I just recently bought this boat as a project and got the engine running a few days ago but the fuel pump would constantly run( engine running or not). It was a rain water flood boat.
Anyways a few days later it would not start. Bunch of weird electrical issues. No electric power to engine. I removed the ECU from engine and found it was half full with water!! Surprised this thing even started. Anyways I thought I could just drain the ECU and it would be all good again.
Turns out there's damage, 2 pins on a semiconductor look damaged. Would I be able to send you this ECU for repairs? Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to send us the photos of your ECU. Unfortunately, we won't be able to guarantee that it will work after we service the board. I see corrosion that may be an issue when trying to trace the line. Also, we are uncertain if we can save\use the current components. There is an international chip shortage as well that may make it more difficult to repair your ECU. We won't be able to determine if it is repairable until we get it in. We charge a $40,00 bench test fee shipping not included if you wanted us to take a look.
You should be able to use the same account. You can contact customer service and they can assist you further with that. Please attach a note with the issues you are having, and the YMM. We'll notify you once it arrives at our facility.
I would like to take a chance and send it in for you guys to take a look at it.
We are a body shop and we have an account with you. We send in several seatbelts for repair. Can I send it in under the same account
