My mechanic recently told me that Ford no longer makes replacement GEM’s.
When my wipers did not function recently, I took my truck for a new wiper motor and was told about this malfunction with the GEM. It makes sense because my radio does not function like it always has in keeping stations that are preset. Also, one night I came out of the grocery store at 6 pm and my front lights were on. I found that odd but thought perhaps I was preoccupied and forgot to turn the lights off.
I only see information about 1997 F-150 4x4’s.
Do you refurbish 1997 F-150 2 wheel drives GEM’s.Retired from construction and usually drive no more than 100 miles a week now. Would love to keep my truck another year or two if possible.
Would appreciate your advice on what I have mentioned and hopefully you can guide me in what can be accomplished.
