MFD and cruise control bad 2008 prius 7 button MFD

Over time, our MFD went intermittent and then finally stopped working altogether. Not only is the display dead, but the buttons as well. Also, 6 months later, the cruise control went intermittent and then stopped working.

If MFD is bad, could it affect the cruise control?

On very rare occasions, the MFD display works, but the buttons and touch screen are static. 99% of the time, it's just dead.

Any ideas besides the MFD bad? I looked for loose cables, but could not find any.

I would like to get an idea of the cost to send the MFD in for repair. Also, how much to just diagnose the MFD? Is your $299 price on your website still good?

As for the power loss issues that's very common with those. We fix all the issues that these MFDs might have. Power loss is the most common where it doesn't turn on at all. As for the cruise control that's a separate function that is independent of the MFD. The brake light switch may be somehow not be triggering the cruise control but the MFD should not be affecting it.
