The temp/compass display on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma is malfunctioning. I looked up and realized it was turned off, so I pressed the button, but nothing happened. I then became irritated and punched it. It came back on and then went away after approximately a few seconds. So when it's turned off and I press the button, it continues to operate because when it turns back on, it's on the opposite setting. That leads me to believe it's simply the monitor? What is causing the screen to flash on and then fade away? Is that something you can do?
