2005 Toyota Tacoma without a temperature/compass display and would like to install one to the overhead console. I purchased a secondhand display device that shows the compass heading but merely —-F for the temperature. There is a pre-existing wire harness that connects directly to the display. I assumed they were all pre-wired for this and that the display unit was just missing in stiped units like mine. Is it necessary to install a temperature sensor somewhere? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
