My 2001 BMW M5 is equipped with the standard BMW Business Radio/Single CD player. When I switch on RDS, I hear a consistent "glitch" in the sound every second or two (a bit like a scratch on a record, or a CD mistracking). When RDS is switched off, the issue goes away. The bug is more obvious on certain materials than others, but it occurs on all radio stations I've tried.
My dealer has attempted to repair it multiple times (including replacing the radio/CD unit), but has been unable.
Has anyone had a similar issue or have any suggestions for resolving it?
