When I turn on my washer, the lock door light does not illuminate when I close the door, therefore the washer accomplishes nothing. Could it be the control board if the lock isn't broken?

Your door lock system is most likely defective, with the control board being the next likely candidate. But we do fix faulty control boards, Here is the service link
