I'm getting an error number of E5E which indicates that either the control board or the motor control board is defective. but I'm guessing it's the motor control board . What are your opinions on the subject?

To ensure that the wiring between the two boards is in good working order, inspect the wiring between them first. If the wiring appears to be in good condition, the speed control board is the most likely source of the problem. But we do fix faulty control board modules.
