Is it possible that the main control board has to be repaired? The washer will start and fill for 1 minute before shutting down and not draining the water with an error code. An error number of 18H displays on the screen for me.

An 18H is not a legitimate error code for this device. A defective main control board is most likely to blame for this problem. It will either need to be replaced or repaired. We fix control boards that aren't working properly. Here is more info
