my door lock switch grounded out to the mounting screw and arced and smoked. Now the washer doesn't even power up, acts like it's not plugged in. Is there a way I can test to make sure it's the control board before sending it out? Scott

It is almost definitely the control board (but not only limited). When this type of ground fault happens the fuse is supposed to blow to protect the circuit. You can do a visual check to see if it is the fuse or if there are any signs of burned components. The chances of it only being a fuse is not likely. There is a better chance that something else has been shorted. You can take a photo and send it to me and I can try to do a visual test over a high-quality picture. Front and back.
