The error code is e5e. that I am getting not sure where to start.

The E5E error code indicates a communication issue. The wiring between the main control board and the speed control board should be examined. If the wiring is faulty, it must be repaired. Repair the main control board if the wiring is fine, then the speed control board if the problem persists.
