The E5E error code you're seeing implies a communication problem. The first thing you should do is inspect the wire harness that connects the control board to the speed control board. If the wiring harness is in good working order, the main control board must be repaired. If this persists, the speed control may be compromised. We can rebuild faulty control board modules, here is the link
