Tacoma 2013 Today, when replacing the instrument cluster glass, I accidently bumped the speedometer needle with my finger, causing it to go from zero to less than zero. I attempted to return it to zero by just turning it clockwise. I've reset it four times already, and it does this every time. With it reading incorrectly, the needle acts consistently during a test drive, reading around 30 km/h slower and returning to considerably below zero when the car is stopped or switched off.
Do you have any suggestions about how to fix this? Is it possible to reset the speedometer so that it rests at zero and displays the right speed? Thanks
