Bunch of warning lights

Greg H

I am having issues with my 2007 Mountaineer starting intermittently. It starts fine on occasion. But other times it won’t even crank. It will run fine while driving but randomly a bunch of warning lights (check engine, ABS, traction control, airbag, parking brake) will come on and the speedometer and accelerometer will drop to zero. But the car still drives. While still driving, it will fluctuate between the cluster working fine (speedometer and accelerometer kick back on and the lights disappear) to again the meters dropping off and the lights coming back on. If I turn the car off while the warning lights are on, it seems like the car won’t turn back on. No cranking or anything. I wait a few days and try and it doesn’t work. And then randomly it turns on no problem. It’s a continuous cycle. It sounds like intermittent power to the cluster. Would that also cause the car to not start?

It sounds like it could be a wiring issue. What codes are you getting specifically?
