I have a 2005 TT with a failed fuel cluster. The fuel gauge shows half a tank more than it actually does. The trip calculator displays the correct value.
I attempted to extract the SKC using the vag tacho but was unable since the pin code provided by the application was incorrect.
The next step was to remove the entire dash board and the fuel gauge by myself. I use vag com to do output tests and move the needle in the centre. It worked fine till I refilled it the next day... When I refilled the tank, the fuel gauge said that it was half full again...???
Any thoughts as to why this occurred and how I may resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.
