2003 bmw 528, I need to replace the instrument cluster. I was planning on buying a used one, and it appears to be a straightforward process, but I was wondering whether I needed to take it to the dealership for any programming afterwards? Will my odometer be accurate once I install the new unit (i.e., is the mileage recorded in the ECU and just relayed on the bus to the dash)? Anyone who has done this previously and can offer any tips before I dig in would be much appreciated!
